We jokingly call these peanut butter cups our 'indoctrination cups', they are a perfect gateway to the craft chocolate world. Made with a combination of cocoa beans from the Costas Esmeraldas region in Ecuador that boast an insanely deep, dark, rich, chocolate flavor with light floral notes. We pair those beans with beans from Madagascar, known for their massive (and we mean massive) red fruit notes. This creates a chocolate with a light raspberry citrus start, followed by an absurdly deep and rich chocolate finish. We take organic peanuts and grind them together with honey from bees that live in the Florida everglades, harvesting pollen from the native plants and orange mangroves. Upon tasting these 'indoctrination cups' for the first time, a friend commented, "Great! Now I won't be able to go back to regular peanut butter cups."
